District Rico: Reviews & Ratings

Delicious Peruvian style rotisserie chicken with lots of other latin options including burritos and sides. I ordered the 1/4 white chicken with plantains and fried rice. I also tried their spicy green and white sauces. The food was delicious and you get a really large portion for $12.25 after tax. I was in and out of the restaurant in 15 minutes and ended up having so much food it kept me full through dinner. I highly recommend District Rico.

Great spot to grab a quick lunch on H St or dinner if you fancy. $18.00 for a half chicken and 2 sides and sauces, freshly made, very filling. Chicken rotisserie is amazing, fresh and not dry. Service is quick anf fantastic. They remembered me! Highly recommended to anyone nearby.

Highly recommend stopping by here. Not only were the portion sizes truly ridiculous (I watched the server lay spoon after spoon of BOTH sides in my container until the box barely closed), but the service was incredibly fast and the food all tasted great. I got the dark 1/4 chicken, and it had so much flavor in every bite, skin or no skin. I'll definitely be coming back to try some of their other meals.

I am absolutely obsessed with this place, and my kid cannot get enough of their chicken! It is really delicious and it's perfect for families. Their portions are very large and the food is always super delicious. I've never dined in, I've only gotten delivery but I would absolutely recommend this place whether you go there or have it brought to you.

Food was mad good. Would come back here again. The half chicken was great. Chicken fried rice too. Maduros were good too. I also tried the carne asada as well as the yucca fries and macaroni salad. Will eat here again if I’m ever in DC

To all my Charlotte folks… think Viva Chicken. My only real gripe? They dared to toss a bag of whole baby carrots into the Brussels sprouts. Come on—chop those things up! That aside, the Brussels sprouts themselves had great flavor. The balsamic glaze really popped, adding a tangy sweetness that paired well with the earthy sprouts. I do wish they had been roasted a bit longer, though—they were still a little too firm for my taste. The plantains, on the other hand, stole the show. Beautifully charred and caramelized on the outside, while staying soft, warm, and perfectly sweet on the inside. And then there’s the chicken—the heart of the meal. The Peruvian seasoning came through nicely, especially on the breast, which stayed tender (though it felt like it was about three minutes shy of tipping into dryness). The thigh and leg, however, were spot on: juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. Overall, definitely worth a stop if you’re craving those bold, comforting Peruvian flavors.

Loved this spot! The food was delicious and affordable, and the service was awesome: super nice crew with a chill vibe. Ordered the beef saltado and it was amazing! Highly recommend because this was like a unique version of loaded fries.
